Type Test of third SFCL successful at KEMA USA

KEMA in Chalfont, Philadelphia

Applied Superconductor Limited has successfully completed type testing of its third Superconducting Fault Current Limiter at KEMA in Chalfont, Philadelphia.

The Superconducting Fault Current Limiter technology has been supplied by Zenergy Power.

This unit will be installed at a CE Electric substation near Scunthorpe (North Lancashire) early 2012 and will become the third Superconducting Fault Current Limiter to be connected to a UK electrical network.
